When faced with change, many of us instinctively go into problem-solving mode. We brainstorm, list pros and cons, and analyze every possible outcome. But no matter how many scenarios we map out, we can still feel... stuck.


I’ve always been comfortable thinking my way through problems — weighing options and predicting outcomes.


But true clarity? That came when I finally let my heart catch up with my mind.

In the busyness of life, we rarely pause long enough to listen to what our hearts are trying to tell us. And yet, that quiet wisdom often holds the key to navigating uncertainty with confidence.



Why Reflection is Key to Clarity


When we take time to pause and reflect, something powerful happens:

We release what no longer serves us — letting go of outdated goals or identities.

We reconnect with what truly matters — realigning with our core values.

We gain the courage to take aligned steps forward — moving from stuck to clear.

My Own Turning Point: When Reflection Sparked Transformation


I am deeply rooted in my faith and traditionally join a series of guided reflection sessions throughout the season of Lent.


Two years ago, during one of these reflection sessions, I found myself at a crossroads.


I was deeply immersed in my corporate career — a role that had provided stability and security for my family for nearly three decades.


But if I’m honest, something was missing. I was spending most of my waking hours in a job that no longer brought me joy, let alone fulfillment.


What I truly longed for was meaning. I had always found deep satisfaction in building relationships and supporting others through challenges. That’s where my heart was.


But in the busyness of life, I hadn’t paused long enough to notice that my circumstances — and with them, my goals — had shifted. I no longer needed to accumulate wealth. What I needed was to follow my heart and pursue something new.


That moment of clarity pointed me toward coaching — a path where I could align my work with my values and purpose. Without hesitation, I enrolled in formal coaching training and began working toward my certification.


But the next step — leaving behind the security of a steady paycheck to build a full-time coaching practice — was an entirely different journey. That’s a story for another time. Stay tuned.
